Position Summary
As a Management Trainee, you will be part of our 24-month, rotation-based programme, which offers a comprehensive and dynamic learning experience across various departments within the Bank. This programme aims to provide you with a deep understanding of our operations, products, and services while developing your leadership and management skills. Successful completion of the programme will open up career advancement opportunities within the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Rotate across different functions, including Compliance, Credit Risk Management, Relationship Management, Finance, Financial Institutions, Treasury and Transactional Banking Services to gain exposure of various operations of the Bank
- Collaborate with department teams to actively participate in day-to-day activities and projects, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in different areas
- Assist in conducting market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the banking industry, contributing to the development of innovative strategies and initiatives
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to and propose operational and process improvements to drive operational excellence
- Participate in training and development programmes to enhance your knowledge of banking products, services, and industry best practices
- Undertake ECF and professional certifications like GTC, UCP 600, CTFP and others relevant
- Actively engage in networking opportunities to build relationships with colleagues, mentors, and industry professionals, fostering professional growth and development
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments to contribute to the Bank’s strategic decision-making process
Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Risk Management, Operations/Information Management, Finance, Economics, Psychology or related disciplines
- CFA/CPA candidates is an added advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated interest in the banking industry and eagerness to learn
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different teams and departments
- Prior internship or work experience in a related field is a definite advantage
- Candidates with maximum 2 years of work experience are eligible to apply
- Permanent residents of Hong Kong or holding a valid Hong Kong work visa
