Mohamedali R. Habib is a member of Habib Bank AG Zurich’s General Management since 2011, when he was the Group’s Joint President and Divisional Head of Asia Business. He is the Group Chief Executive Officer since 2016.
Mohamedali R. Habib was the Executive Director of HABIBMETRO, a subsidiary of Habib Bank AG Zurich in Pakistan, from 2004 till 2011 and thereafter, he has continued there as a Non-Executive Director. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at HABIBMETRO since 2015. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Habib Bank Zurich Hong Kong Ltd. since 2006.
Between 2012 and 2016, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors of HBZ Bank Limited, a subsidiary of Habib Bank AG Zurich in South Africa. Before joining Habib Bank AG Zurich in 1996, Mohamedali R. Habib spent 10 years in the corporate sector, holding various executive roles and board-level positions.
He graduated in Business Management (Finance) from Clark University, Massachusetts (USA) in 1987. He holds a post-graduate diploma in General Management from Stanford-National University of Singapore, and is a Certified Director from the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance.
